Honors Requirements

Course requirements for completion of COEHP Honors are as follows:

 

  • Completion of all university, COEHP, and departmental degree requirements.
  • Minimum of 18 honors credit hours. Hours can be completed as follows:
    1. 8 honors hours inside or outside of the student’s CDIS program of study.
    2. *6 honors hours from within the CDIS program of study.
    3. **1 honors hour from CDIS 3901H Honors Thesis Tutorial.
    4. ***3 honors hours from CDIS 498VH Honors Thesis/Project.
  • Preparation and oral defense of an Honors Thesis OR preparation and submission of paper following guidelines for Honors Internship experience.
  • Graduation with a minimum GPA of 3.5

 

Summa Cum Laude will be awarded to honors students graduating with a GPA >3.9.

Magna Cum Laude will be awarded to honors students graduating with a GPA 3.7 – 3.89.

Cum Laude will be awarded to honors students graduating with a GPA 3.5 – 3.69.
